Happy Birthday To Me

Well if you read the title you know I experienced my 1st birthday as a father. It was pretty uneventful. Last Friday me, Travis, Kenny(my father in law to be), my Uncle Kenny, Willie(my best good friend), and the Johns Boys(Tyler, Zach, and Tanner) all went to the casino in Osceola. I didn't win any money, but I did get a free dinner, thank you Willie. I also got to listen to the soothing sounds of Des Moines favorite local band, "One Nite Stand!" You can check out their schedule at www.onenitestandband.com. On Sunday I enjoyed 2 BBQs, a fine cigar, and some Sunnessy(thank you Matt)!

Eva didn't really seem to care it was my birthday. I mean she's two months old. I understand. We did get in the closet and find some new friends for her to share story time with. She loved this. There is Winnie The Pooh, Charlie In The Box, Steve the sock monkey, Raggedy Anne & Andy, and Carl the crazy chicken. Tiffanie tried to include Dopey the dwarf, but I told her they didn't call him Dopey for no reason and his assumed habits were a bad influence on the group.

Although that's right where our story started. With a dwarf and the mange. It's kind of a prequel to last weeks story when I went to Mexico live out a dream as a professional wrestler. Well let's just say I was the Andre The Giant of the midget wrestling LPN(Luchidores de Puebla Nueva). As for the mange, well that story starts in Lucas, IA where I had been working in the coal mines to make ends meet. I decided it was time I stepped out of my comfort zone and chased my dream.

From Lucas I walked all the way to Wagon Mound, New Mexico where I met a homeless coyote by the name of Rosco Fernando. Rosco was old and dirty. We quickly became friends when said he was also on his way to join the LPN, and that if I shared my water and blanket with him, he would walk with me. I was so excited, what a coincidence. It had to be destiny. We walked until night time and set up camp outside a small town in New Mexico called Golondrinas. I gave what money I had to Rosco Fernando to go into town and buy supplies. Well that turned out to be a bad idea when he came back with a bottle of Blue Maui Boone's Farm and two bottles of Thunderbird. We drank the Blue Maui and the Thunderbird and decided to call it a night. Now if your like Eva you might not realize that nite time in the desert is cold. So Rosco Fernando and I cuddled up under my one blanket which was about the size of a 1979 Chevy Malibu hood. Now it was couple nights later once we crossed over into Mexico that I began itch like crazy. I instantly thought I had gotten Poison Ivy, or Scarlet Tina. I was wrong. The local vet in the small town of Edmundo gave the bad news. I had the Mange! Now I don't know if you've ever been to a Mexican Veterinarian but it's nothing like home. When I got back to camp, my blanket and Rosco Fernando were gone. It was cold that night, but not as itchy. I later heard Rosco Fernando was busted for trying to transport 3 bottles of Blue Maui Boone's Farm across the border with an expired passport.

As for Eva she loved the story and was excited to make some new friends. We Took her to the Dr last Friday, and she weighed 7lbs 9oz and was 19 inches long. She's getting smarter and smarter every day. She also wanted me to tell Matt and Linda thank you for the new blanket. Purple is her favorite color. Above you will find a picture of Eva and Pooh sharing a good laugh. Well thank you for reading, and remember as always, lies hurt people, Stories entertain.

7 Weeks Later

Good evening! Well it's Thursday March 19th and my baby girl is now 7 weeks old. Where did the time go? She is still absolutely amazing. She is actually sitting right here as I write this. I have to be honest, she's kind of bossy. Always telling me what to do and what not to do. She must get that from her mother!

Where to start? Well she loves basketball which is great. Her favorite food is breast milk. Weird I know. I like 2 percent. I'm trying to convince Tiffanie that breast milk is the cure for something. She says I'm crazy. I think she just hates it when I'm right! Eva agrees with me a lot which makes things pretty difficult for Tiff.

Eva loves to listen to my stories. Last night I told about the 7 months I spent in Mexico while I was chasing a career in professional wrestling. Yep down in the little mountain town of Pueblo Nuevo! My wrestling name was "El Oso Grande!" Which in English means the "The Big Bear."
The people of Pueblo Nueva were terrified of bears. Aww, what an amazing 7 months. I mean once you've dominated the LPN(Luchidores of Puebla Nueva) you'd think there is no where to go but down. You'd be right, I've got a foot with only 3 toes to prove it!

As for Eva she has decided not to follow in dad's footsteps as a luchidore. It's probably for the best. She does love music. She's particularly fond of Peter Paul and Mary. I can't say I blame her. Although we both share a strong distaste for a boy by the name of Jackie Paper! The way he broke that dragon's heart. Eva wants a dragon for her first birthday. I told her I'll see if I can find one cheap on Craigslist.

All in all being a father is still the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. It's like watching a miracle everyday. Well Eva's getting tired now so above you'll find a picture of her just kicking back on her Wooby. Wooby of course is the name of her favorite blanket. I still miss my Wooby. Tiffanie threw it away one day while I was at work. True story. Before I forget we just want to say thank you to everyone who has come to see us and share in our miracle. Until next time....Remember, lies hurt people, stories entertain!

The Preface

Hello, and thank you for deciding to read my blog! Well we just gave birth to our first child. Listen to me, "We?" Actually Tiffanie just gave birth to our first child, a beautiful little girl we named Eveah Anne Money. I don't want to take any credit away from Tiffanie, she was absolutely amazing through the whole delivery. Speaking of delivery, should we really use that term to describe the birth of a child. I mean the Dr. "delivered" our baby, but some sweet dude just "delivered" my pizza. Why pay half a million dollars to go to school for ten years to learn how to deliver babies when you could watch a 15 minute video and make an extra $5 per pizza working at Domino's?
I guess it's about the money. Which reminds me, if you don't know me, yes my last name is Money. Bradley John Money to be exact. I work in the Insurance business and I'm a true salesman at heart. My lovely fiance will soon be Tiffanie Daniel Money and works in annuities. My beautiful daughter is of course Eveah Anne Money. For all intensive purposes we will call her Eva for short. This blog is really about her. Well me and her, and my journey through fatherhood with a touch a Tiffanie mixed in to keep me honest. In the movie version of my blog, I would be played by Rosie O'Donnell, Tiffanie would be played by Renee Zellweger, and Eva would be played by her self, as she is the real star and I don't really know the name of any other newborn actors.
Also, if you haven't figured it out yet I may be hard to follow at times, my grammar and punctuation may be questionable, and well my mind likes to wander. I'm very imaginative and love to share my imagination with others. So please wander with me as I embark on the exciting and treacherous journey called Fatherhood! I love the word treacherous!
The above picture is from the day we took Eva home from the hospital. She was 17 inches 4lbs 9oz at birth. She was in the NICU for almost two weeks and came home weighing just over 5lbs. We've now been home for a week. She is absolutely amazing and I will share our first week of the journey with you soon! Thank you for reading, and thank you for your support!
